2024年6月4日，应德国汉诺威莱布尼兹大学以及莱布尼兹-孔子学院的共同邀请，合伙人陈旭东在有关中国的环境意识、可持续发展以及气候政策的系列主题讲座中，发表了题为《理想滨水生活方式：从城市边界到有机体的演化》的演讲。

演讲首先从人居环境和城市文化的角度，讨论了传统城市中的自然要素和文脉思想，并在古代欧洲尤其是古希腊、罗马的杰出城市模型的横向对比的基础上，进一步探讨融合实践的可能性。演讲的后半部分重点分享了德默营造的城市建筑的实践案例。在后续的互动环节中，演讲者从当代城市建设开发模式、核心传统建筑文化要素的批判继承以及当下居住模式和个性风格的矛盾关系等方面，与听众进行了深入讨论。

On June 4, 2024, at the joint invitation of Leibniz University Hannover and Leibniz-Confucius-Institute Hanover(LKIH), Germany, partner DAtrans Xudong CHEN, delivered a speech titled "Toward an Ideal Urban Waterfront lifestyle: Evolution from Boundary to Biotope" in a series of lectures on environmental awareness, sustainable development and climate policy in China.

The speech first discussed the natural elements and cultural ideas in traditional cities from the perspectives of living environment and urban culture. Based on a horizontal comparison of outstanding urban models in ancient Europe, especially ancient Greece and Rome, it further explored the possibility of integration practice. The second half of the speech focused on sharing practical cases of urban architecture created by DAtrans. In the subsequent interactive session, the speaker had in-depth discussions with the audience on contemporary urban construction and development models, critical inheritance of core traditional architectural cultural elements, and the conflict between current living model and personality styles.
