上海的城市建设与工业发展素来息息相关，工业厂区、工业建筑的类型十分丰富，几乎囊括全国工业的所有种类。作为近代中国工业的中心，工业遗产无论在数量还是类型多样性方面，在亚洲都具有独特优势。苏州河两岸拥有丰富的工业遗存，两岸厂房与仓库的工业遗产的保护和利用展现了魔都的创新活力；黄浦江两岸的工业街坊，也在再开发的过程中也面临崭新的机遇。

这项研究是由DA+大家空间联手韩国釜山大学、上海同济大学所进行的一项亚洲近代城市发展比较研究的组成部分，旨在对上海工业遗产的保护和利用的现状进行基础性的调查和记录，并形成系统性的研究报告和展览资源。经过半年的精心准备，2021年夏季工作营即将正式启动。

Shanghai's urban evolution has always been closely related to industrial development. The types of industrial plants and buildings are very rich, including almost all kinds of industries in Asia. As the industrial center of modern times in China, industrial heritage has unique advantages in Asia in terms of quantity and type diversity. There are abundant industrial heritages on both sides of Suzhou Creek. The protection and utilization of industrial heritages of factories and warehouses on both sides of Suzhou River show the innovation vitality of the metropolis; The industrial blocks on both sides of the Huangpu River are also facing new opportunities in the process of the renewal.

This study is a part of a comparative study on the development of modern Asian cities conducted by Busan University of Korea, Tongji University of Shanghai and DA + Space. It aims to conduct a basic investigation and record on the current situation of the protection and utilization of Shanghai's industrial heritage, and form a systematic research report and Exhibition resources in the future. After six months of careful preparation, the 2021 summer workshop will be officially launched.
